Library & Knowledge Services Update -  We continue to provide access to services and resources

  • The Library space remains open and 24 hour access is still available. 
  • From Monday 23rd March until further notice there will be fewer Library staff on-site.

  • Please ensure you use the hand sanitiser provided when entering and leaving the Library space and wipe down the PCs before and after use.

  • All book loans have currently been extended and books can be returned via the blue metal bin outside the front door of the Education Centre.

NICE Rapid Guidelines and Evidence Summaries Covid-19

  • NICE has published its first rapid guidelines and evidence reviews on COVID-19 which can be found at : https://www.nice.org.uk/covid-19
  • So far they have published guidelines on: critical care, kidney dialysis and systemic anticancer treatments. Work has started on evidence summaries on ACE inhibitors and ibuprofen and it is  anticipated that these should be available by the end of the week (w/c 23rd March). Work is also about to start on Radiotherapy, Symptom management and Bone marrow transplants with an anticipated 5 day turn around and with more topics expected. Please regularly check the site regularly.

  • Finding the Evidence: Coronavirus created and maintained by the Public Health England (PHE) Library & Knowledge Services Team to support those working on the Coronavirus outbreak to embed evidence-based, informed decision making into their daily practice.  The page contains an extremely comprehensive range of information and links, and is updated regularly. The PHE Library & Knowledge Services Team also produce a daily alert containing links to the latest research and news from Government Departments.
