External Membership, Patients & Carers
Patients and carers may use the library for free on a reference only basis, during staffed hours, please note that this is on an appointment only basis, please contact us first for more information.
The Library also offers external membership to institutions and individuals working in the private sector.
For example:
- Private commercial hospitals
- Independent sector treatment centres
- Private companies
- Solicitors
- Individual private practitioners (dentists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, podiatrists, chiropodists, opticians)
Students not affiliated to the Library through their University, patients and members of the public may also join the Library as an External Member.
Membership fees vary depending on circumstance and are usually paid on an annual basis, although short term memberships are also available.
